Ranbir Kapoor gets slammed by netizens for his 'somebody has phailaod' comment on pregnant Alia Bhatt

Bollywood actors and soon-to-be parents Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have begun promotions for Brahmastra. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji. For the same, they recently did a Facebook live session and a comment made by Kapoor on Alia didn't not go down well with the netizens.

During a live session, the stars talked about why they are not promoting Brahmastra extensively compared to other films. Alia replied, "We will promote the film, and we will be everywhere but if the question you are asking is why we are not phailaod (talking about widespread promotion) everywhere, right now our focus is..."

Ranbir Kapoor quickly pointed at Alia's growing baby bump and said, "Well, I can say somebody has phailaod" referencing to her belly. The actress and the director looked stunned. This video is doing the rounds of social media and some reddit users called out Kapoor's remark for making fun of Alia gaining weight.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra is slated to release on September 9. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy.
