Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has stirred a fresh debate on the future of cinema, calling AI tool “Seedance 2.0” the “murderer of the film industry” while also describing it as a force of liberation. In a post shared on February 25, 2026, Varma argued that advanced AI filmmaking tools could dismantle the traditional structure of the movie business. Referring to blockbuster filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli, he wrote that directors like Rajamouli command massive budgets due to their proven creative vision and track record. However, he questioned how many equally talented storytellers across India never get access to funding or industry networks. Amitabh Bachchan buys another property in Ayodhya, plans memorial for Harivansh Rai Bachchan: Reports

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has made another significant real estate investment in Ayodhya, securing a 54,454-square-foot land parcel. The property, located 10 kilometers from the recently inaugurated Ram Mandir, was purchased under the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Memorial Trust. This marks his second land acquisition in the region, following an earlier purchase in Haveli Avadh on January 16, 2024.

Details of the Land Acquisition According to reports, Amitabh Bachchan’s latest land deal was facilitated by Rajesh Rishikesh Yadav on behalf of the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Memorial Trust. As per a report by Times Of India, Pratap Singh, Assistant Inspector General of the Stamp and Registration Department in Ayodhya, confirmed the transaction, stating, “We can only confirm that sale deeds have taken place. Once the local development authority approves the building plan, one would know what is going to be the purpose of the two investments.”

Bachchan’s first purchase in Haveli Avadh, close to the Ram Mandir, was valued at Rs 4.54 crore. Sources indicate that while this earlier acquisition may serve residential purposes, the newly acquired land is expected to be utilized for social or charitable causes. A Tribute to Harivansh Rai Bachchan Amitabh Bachchan had established the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Memorial Trust in 2013 in honor of his father, the renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He had announced on his blog, “I am happy to announce the formation of a Trust in the memory of my Father – HRB Memorial Trust – which shall work to collect funds for charity. My own efforts at creating events or acts to contribute to it shall be prime, and the list of the charitable work done shall be soon visible to all.”
