EXCLUSIVE: Raid 2 distributors request cinemas to avoid Tuesday 99 offer for Ajay Devgn-starrer and to continue with popular pricing in the weekdays

The Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid 2 has taken a solid start, collecting Rs. 19.71 crores. The opening day number was a surprise as the industry expected the film to open under Rs. 15 crores. It held very well on the second day as well and it is now all set to collect nearly Rs. 70 crores in its four-day weekend. Realizing that the film will hold strongly even on the weekdays, the distributors have taken a significant step, Bollywood Hungama has learned. Yesterday, the distributors of Raid 2 mailed exhibitors throughout the country with a request. A trade source told Bollywood Hungama, “The distributors first thanked their exhibition partners for their support in playing the film. They also informed that Raid 2 is doing exceedingly well in all the territories of the country. They then made two requests. Rajkummar Rao starrer Maalik set to hit theatres on June 20, 2025

The much-awaited action entertainer Maalik has finally secured its theatrical release date. Produced by Tips Films and Northern Lights Films, the film is set to hit the big screens on June 20, 2025.

The makers officially announced the release date with a powerful Instagram post, writing, “Poore pradesh aur desh pe RAJ karne aa rahe hain MAALIK!” The announcement has already created buzz among fans, who are eagerly waiting to see what the film has in store.

While details about the film’s plot and cast remain under wraps, Maalik promises to be a high-octane action spectacle. With Tips Films’ track record of delivering hit action dramas, expectations are high for this upcoming release.

Starring Rajkummar Rao in and as Maalik, the film showcases the actor like never before—stepping into the shoes of a ruthless gangster with a striking new intensity. The poster, which received an overwhelming response from fans, teased Rao’s fierce transformation, setting the stage for a gripping action spectacle.

The film marks a significant shift in Rao’s filmography, as he dives into an edgy, larger-than-life character that blends raw power with emotional depth.

Directed by Pulkit, known for his work in thrillers and dramas, Maalik is currently in post-production.

The Portable Door review – Harry Potter-ish YA fantasy carried by hardworking cast

Jeffrey Walker’s adaptation of the young-adult fantasy novel retains its edge thanks to its performances, but gets stuck on the whole door thing Adapted from Tom Holt’s 2003 young-adult fantasy novel, this is a passable attempt at kickstarting a new Harry Potter-style franchise set in a fusty-quirky institution, dosed up with extra Gilliamesque grotesquery.
