Bollywood actor Aamir Khan made a rare and powerful appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, where he responded to long-standing criticism over his photos with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife. The actor also spoke out against religious profiling and emphasized his support for India’s armed forces. During the interview, Aamir Khan condemned communal attacks and questioned the morality of targeting people based on their religion. “You are shooting at common citizens, you are shooting at the people of the family. I could have been there, you could have been there. And you are shooting at them by questioning their religion. What does this mean?”, he said. Ridley Scott says Denzel Washington’s same-sex kiss in Gladiator II ‘didn’t happen’

Washington also rolled back on his earlier claim the scene was cut from the film, calling the kiss a ‘peck’

The director of Gladiator II has denied claims by its star, Denzel Washington, that a same-sex kiss was cut from the final version of the film.

Speaking last week, Washington – who plays a bisexual slave trader in the film – said: “I actually kissed a man in the film but they took it out, they cut it, I think they got chicken. I kissed a guy full on the lips and I guess they weren’t ready for that yet.”

The Portable Door review – Harry Potter-ish YA fantasy carried by hardworking cast

Jeffrey Walker’s adaptation of the young-adult fantasy novel retains its edge thanks to its performances, but gets stuck on the whole door thing Adapted from Tom Holt’s 2003 young-adult fantasy novel, this is a passable attempt at kickstarting a new Harry Potter-style franchise set in a fusty-quirky institution, dosed up with extra Gilliamesque grotesquery. Co-produced by the Jim Henson Company, the production design is poky and intense, and the cast – with Christoph Waltz and Sam Neill larking it up – give it their all. But amid all this clutter, it sometimes has trouble moving its story forward.
