Murphy’s maverick cop – and his theme music – are back to fight corruption, but four decades on there’s little energy to enliven their formulaic reunion Eddie Murphy isn’t finished yet – as he proved with his barnstormer of a performance as Blaxploitation pioneer Rudy Ray Moore in Dolemite Is My Name . Digangana Suryavanshi gets accused of extorting money; official complaint gets filed against the actress

The debut web-series of Zeenat Aman titled Show Stopper has found itself in the midst of a controversy yet again and this time it involves actress Digangana Suryavanshi. Best known for her work in television, Digangana has now been accused by the makers of extortion and further the lawyer of the producers has also gone to allege that the actress has made threatening statements towards the makers.

According to the reports, the producers of Show Stopper have accused the actress of taking money under the pretext of roping in some big names from the Bollywood industry. This had led to producers MH Films have filed a complaint against Digangana Suryavanshi under sections 420 and 406 of the Indian Penal Code, that is for serious form of cheating that includes inducement and criminal breach of trust. In fact, News18 Showsha has revealed about the police report filed by director of the show, Manish Harishankar against Suryavanshi in which he has reportedly stated, “During the making and after the completion of the said web series, the proposed accused kept telling me that she knows superstars like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, and as she has personal relations with them, she would be in a position to rope in such popular actors to be the presenters of the said web series initially.”

The director also revealed that they flew to Ajmer, where under the pretext of Akshay Kumar allegedly, Digangana took away an iPAd from them and has not returned it till date. “My editor carried the iPad, which contained entire footages of the web series… She insisted that that he should handover the iPad with the entire 16 episodes of the web series. After that, she told my editor to wait outside (hotel room) as she said that she will go alone and have a meeting with Akshay Kumar, and on the pretext of showing the footage/clips of the web series, she took the iPad from my staff and till date has never returned us back,” he added.

In fact, it is being said that these reports that Digangana also demanded Rs. 6 crores to be paid to Akshay Kumar post her alleged meeting with the Bollywood superstar.
