Jaideep Ahlawat confirms role in Shah Rukh Khan’s King; says, “Who could say no to Shah Rukh Khan”

In 2023, Shah Rukh Khan made a major impact at the box office with three consecutive blockbusters — Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. Now, anticipation is building around his upcoming film titled King. While Saurabh Shukla had earlier confirmed his role in the project, actor Jaideep Ahlawat has also revealed in an interview with Lallantop that he is part of the film. Jaideep Ahlawat confirmed his involvement in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King and shared how he became part of the project. He recalled, “SRK sir kaafi time se soch rahe the iss cheez ko, jaisa mujhe pata laga hai, but Siddharth Anand bhai thoda hichak rahe honge ki chota part hai to offer after Jewel Thief. But Khan saab being Khan saab, he said I’ll talk to him. Ab unki baat kaun nakarega (SRK sir had been thinking about this for quite some time, as far as I know. Ajay Devgn starrer supernatural thriller is titled Shaitaan; cryptic voodoo dolls haunt in FIRST poster

Prepare to delve into the shadows as the first chilling poster for Ajay Devgn's upcoming supernatural thriller, Shaitaan, has been unveiled! The film promises a heart-pounding journey into the realm of Indian black magic, and the poster perfectly captures its eerie atmosphere. Devgn is joined by powerhouse actors R Madhavan and Jyotika in this gripping tale.

Speaking of the poster, it plunges you straight into a chilling atmosphere with its dark monochromatic backdrop. Instead of relying on the star power of Ajay Devgn, Madhavan, or Jyotika, the poster focuses on a single, unnerving image that sets the tone for the film's supernatural thrills.

At the center of the poster, five voodoo doll-like figures, crafted in the traditional Indian style, emerge from the darkness. Four of these figures are rendered in an ominous black, their stitched details and menacing postures adding to the sense of unease. But amidst this sea of black, a single crimson doll stands out, its vibrant hue drawing your eye. 

Presented by Jio Studios, Devgn Films and Panorama Studios, Shaitaan is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak and directed by Vikas Bahl, known for Queen and Super 30. It is set to theatrically release on March 8, 2024.

The Portable Door review – Harry Potter-ish YA fantasy carried by hardworking cast

Jeffrey Walker’s adaptation of the young-adult fantasy novel retains its edge thanks to its performances, but gets stuck on the whole door thing Adapted from Tom Holt’s 2003 young-adult fantasy novel, this is a passable attempt at kickstarting a new Harry Potter-style franchise set in a fusty-quirky institution, dosed up with extra Gilliamesque grotesquery.
