Drag is a tool of self-expression and of protest in this kaleidoscopic portrait of the city’s vibrant underground art The queer defiance of Fil Ieropoulos’s kaleidoscopic documentary manifests not only through its subject, but also through its form. Centring on a group of drag performers and gender-nonconforming artists in Athens, this shape-shifting film celebrates a vibrant underground scene that thrives in a homophobic system, rife with state-sanctioned discrimination and violence. Introduced through an episodic structure, figures from the community light up the screen with their artistry and activism as they carve out a safe haven of their own. In each of the vignettes, we get a glimpse of both the joy and the peril of navigating the city as a queer person. Ranveer Singh as Simmba has indeed left an indelible mark on the hearts of the audience. Witty, brave, and lovable, the superstar genuinely as Simmba is the most loved character from Rohit Shetty's cop universe. And he returns to the same universe with Ajay Devgn starrer Singham Again. The first look was shared on October 30, 2023.

Ajay Devgn took to social media on Monday to share the first look and wrote, "The most notorious officer of my squad, #Simmba!" Ranveer as Inspector Sangram Bhalerao a.k.a. Simmba looks ravishing, stylish, and stronger than before, the poster guarantees that he is all set to arrive with a blast of entertainment.

An industry source shares, “Now, as the superstar is coming back, in Singham Again, people can expect a high dose of action, comedy, and entertainment from his highly anticipated reprise of one of his most famous characters.” They further add, “As always, his one-liners are bound to bring the house down and have the audience in splits.”

The Portable Door review – Harry Potter-ish YA fantasy carried by hardworking cast

Jeffrey Walker’s adaptation of the young-adult fantasy novel retains its edge thanks to its performances, but gets stuck on the whole door thing Adapted from Tom Holt’s 2003 young-adult fantasy novel, this is a passable attempt at kickstarting a new Harry Potter-style franchise set in a fusty-quirky institution, dosed up with extra Gilliamesque grotesquery. Co-produced by the Jim Henson Company, the production design is poky and intense, and the cast – with Christoph Waltz and Sam Neill larking it up – give it their all. But amid all this clutter, it sometimes has trouble moving its story forward.
