BREAKING: Dhadak 2 FINALLY cleared with U/A 16+ certificate after EXTENSIVE cuts; CBFC changes caste slurs to ‘junglee’; replaces a doha by Saint Tulsidas; censors 2 disturbing scenes

In February this year, Bollywood Hungama was the first one to break the news that Dhadak 2 has been stuck at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It has now come to light that the CBFC has finally cleared the film, albeit with several changes. As per The Hindu, Dhadak 2 has been awarded with a U/A 16+ rating and it also lists the cuts given to the social drama. The dialogue “3,000 years of backlog will not be cleared in just 70 years” has been replaced with “The backlog of age-old discrimination will not be cleared in just 70 years”. Incidentally, the recently released flick Phule also had a dialogue ‘3,000 saal puraani gulaami’ and it was changed to ‘kayi saal purani hai’. Both the films are based on caste atrocities. Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio talk show Mann Ki Baat 100 conclave

Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon will be attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio talk show Mann Ki Baat conclave in New Delhi on the completion of 100 episodes of the show. For the same, Aamir reached New Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan to attend the national conclave. Raveena will be doing a panel on nari shakti (women power).

As per Indian Express, along with the two actors, sportspersons Deepa Malik and Nikhat Zareen, several journalists, radio jockeys and entrepreneurs will be in attendance for the national conclave. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary will be attending the event for the valedictory session. The event will be inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. I&B Minister Anurag Thakur will be the guest of honour.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan was last seen in the Hindi adaptation of Forrest Gump, Laal Singh Chaddha. It released in August 2022. The actor is yet to announce his next project.

The Portable Door review – Harry Potter-ish YA fantasy carried by hardworking cast

Jeffrey Walker’s adaptation of the young-adult fantasy novel retains its edge thanks to its performances, but gets stuck on the whole door thing Adapted from Tom Holt’s 2003 young-adult fantasy novel, this is a passable attempt at kickstarting a new Harry Potter-style franchise set in a fusty-quirky institution, dosed up with extra Gilliamesque grotesquery. Co-produced by the Jim Henson Company, the production design is poky and intense, and the cast – with Christoph Waltz and Sam Neill larking it up – give it their all.
