The 100th birth anniversary of one of the greatest film personalities ever, Guru Dutt, is celebrated on July 9. He died at the age of just 38 but the contribution he made to cinema has been unforgettable. No wonder that 60 years after his passing, he continues to be talked about and remembered. Some believe that he committed suicide while some don’t believe this theory at all. Devi Dutt, brother of Guru Dutt, spoke at length with Filmfare 9 years ago about why he was sure that his brother didn’t end his own life. In the April 2016 issue, a detailed interview of Devi Dutt was published in which he talked about Guru Dutt’s beginnings, his relationship with Geeta Dutt and a lot more. At one point, he explained what happened on October 9, 1964, a day before Guru Dutt was found dead. Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio talk show Mann Ki Baat 100 conclave

Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon will be attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio talk show Mann Ki Baat conclave in New Delhi on the completion of 100 episodes of the show. For the same, Aamir reached New Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan to attend the national conclave. Raveena will be doing a panel on nari shakti (women power).

As per Indian Express, along with the two actors, sportspersons Deepa Malik and Nikhat Zareen, several journalists, radio jockeys and entrepreneurs will be in attendance for the national conclave. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary will be attending the event for the valedictory session. The event will be inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. I&B Minister Anurag Thakur will be the guest of honour.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan was last seen in the Hindi adaptation of Forrest Gump, Laal Singh Chaddha. It released in August 2022. The actor is yet to announce his next project.

The Portable Door review – Harry Potter-ish YA fantasy carried by hardworking cast

Jeffrey Walker’s adaptation of the young-adult fantasy novel retains its edge thanks to its performances, but gets stuck on the whole door thing Adapted from Tom Holt’s 2003 young-adult fantasy novel, this is a passable attempt at kickstarting a new Harry Potter-style franchise set in a fusty-quirky institution, dosed up with extra Gilliamesque grotesquery.
