An adaptation of Swedish author Camilla Läckberg’s series explores an important theme but doesn’t compare to Pixar in fun or heart Super mediocre is more like it. Or super underwhelming. This family animation about a baby with superhero powers is adapted from a children’s book series by the bestselling Swedish crime novelist Camilla Läckberg, but with almost no feel for its target audience. It’s pitched at very young kids (if you ignore the dodgy gag about a new mum breastfeeding her baby’s father). But Super Charlie is seriously lacking a sense of fun or a silly streak to tickle little funny bones – it’s as if the film-makers have never met anyone under five. Gwyneth Paltrow testified on Friday afternoon that she felt “violated” during the 2016 ski collision at a mountain resort in Utah, over which she is being sued, and initially feared the crash may have been something “perverted” or a prank.

Terry Sanderson, a retired optometrist, is suing the Oscar-winning actor for $300,000, claiming that her recklessness caused the crash and left him with lasting physical injuries. He and experts say the crash significantly affected his life and relationships.
