The art of glassblowing involves blowing air into a mass of heated Glass through a tube to shape it. According to Britannica, it was created by Syrian artisans in the first century BC at Sidon, Aleppo, Hama, and Palmyra. Up to this point, the method has practically not changed. Sand is heated to an incredibly high temperature and then cooled down till it becomes a liquid that can be molded to create Glass. Glass is created into the shape that the maker has fashioned it into when it solidifies.
