As a stunning 4K restoration arrives in theaters, the director and cast reflect on creating the disturbing descent into a criminal underworld Michael Mann has shown time and again in films like Thief , Heat , Miami Vice and Public Enemies that he is one of American film’s greatest explorers of the underworld. “It’s like a kind of cultural anthropology,” Mann tells me from his office in Los Angeles. “If you make films, you get to do that in a different place with a different subject every few years. For me, the exploration is the high.” With its unsettling atmosphere and soaring beauty, Mann’s 1986 film Manhunter reimagined how a thriller could look, sound and feel in an early high point for the director. To commemorate its 40th anniversary Manhunter: The Final Cut , a 4K restoration and director’s cut with three minutes of new footage, will see a theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles this weekend with a nationwide US rollout to follow. Wedding to be! Britney Spears has commented on the rumors about her marriage

Britney announced the good news on social networks the other day: she and her fiancé Sam Asghari will soon become parents. The next day, the pop diva shocked fans with yet another confession by calling Sam "husband" in a published post. The words of the star were perceived unequivocally - the singer's fans decided that the lovers registered their marriage during the holidays in Mexico. However, a source close to the couple denied this information. An insider told HollywoodLife that the couple won't get married until after the birth of their first child together: "Britney and Sam have been calling each other 'husband' and 'wife' since they got engaged, but they're not officially married and want to wait until the baby is born. So they will have nine months to plan the celebration, but Britney is completely focused on the pregnancy." This pregnancy is the third and highly anticipated for the pop star. Under the guardianship of her father, Britney was forbidden to have children, and she was forced to take contraceptives constantly. Recall that in 2004, Britney Spears married dancer Kevin Federline, and three years later, the couple broke up. The ex-spouses have two sons: 16-year-old Sean and 15-year-old Jayden. "Britney's kids are very excited to hear that their mom is expecting a baby. She told them first, knowing that it would greatly affect their lives. The baby will have wonderful brothers, Britney believes," added a HollywoodLife source.
