Centring on a group of drag performers and gender-nonconforming artists in Athens, this shape-shifting film celebrates a vibrant underground scene that thrives in a homophobic system, rife with state-sanctioned discrimination and violence. Introduced through an episodic structure, figures from the community light up the screen with their artistry and activism as they carve out a safe haven of their own. Palak Tiwari becomes first Indian woman brand ambassador of U.S. Polo Assn

Palak Tiwari has become the first Indian woman to be appointed as the brand ambassador of the U.S. Polo Assn. in the women's line. The actress and singer is known for her stylish and confident personality, which makes her a perfect fit for the brand.

The brand announced Palak as its new face during an event held on August 25 in Mumbai. Besides her, a bunch of celebs also attended the event including Arjun Rampal and Isabelle Kaif.

U.S. Polo Assn. is a global lifestyle brand that is known for its classic American style. The brand has a wide range of clothing, footwear, and accessories for men, women, and children.

Speaking of Palak, she is a young actress, who rose to fame for her music video ‘Bijli Bijli’ featuring Harrdy Sandhu. The song was a huge hit. She recently made her acting debut in the film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan alongside Salman Khan.

Coming to the professional front, she will be next seen in the Sanjay Dutt starrer The Virgin Tree. Helmed by debutant director Sidhaant Sachdev, the upcoming film is said to be a horror-comedy.

The Portable Door review – Harry Potter-ish YA fantasy carried by hardworking cast

Jeffrey Walker’s adaptation of the young-adult fantasy novel retains its edge thanks to its performances, but gets stuck on the whole door thing Adapted from Tom Holt’s 2003 young-adult fantasy novel, this is a passable attempt at kickstarting a new Harry Potter-style franchise set in a fusty-quirky institution, dosed up with extra Gilliamesque grotesquery. Co-produced by the Jim Henson Company, the production design is poky and intense, and the cast – with Christoph Waltz and Sam Neill larking it up – give it their all. But amid all this clutter, it sometimes has trouble moving its story forward.
